2027 Call for projects

What if we went even further together for the ocean?

Are you leading a concrete project focused on understanding, protecting or preserving marine ecosystems?

The Vendée Globe Foundation is launching its 2027 Call for Projects and invites you to apply for the opportunity to receive its support.

Who is this Call for Projects for?

The Call for Projects is open to research institutes and organisations, as well as non-profit organisations (associations, foundations, NGOs, etc.), French or international, developing concrete, impactful initiatives in support of the ocean.

Projects may focus in particular on:

  • marine biodiversity and ecosystems;
  • marine biology and ocean sciences;
  • innovation for the ocean;
  • health and medicine related to the marine environment;
  • the collection, analysis and use of scientific data;
  • citizen science and public involvement in advancing knowledge of the ocean;
  • the restoration and resilience of coastlines and the seabed;
  • the knowledge, protection and restoration of marine habitats and species;
  • and, more broadly, any concrete initiative that contributes to improving our knowledge and understanding of ocean ecosystems, and to their preservation or restoration.

Better knowledge for better protection

The commitment of the Vendée Globe Foundation is rooted in a strong belief: we can better protect what we know and understand.

The ocean plays a vital role in the balance of our planet, yet much of its ecosystems, processes and richness remain to be discovered and understood. This is why the Vendée Globe Foundation supports concrete projects that work to advance scientific knowledge, preserve marine ecosystems and raise awareness of the challenges facing the ocean.

Through its actions, the Foundation aims to help bring forward and support innovative, solution-oriented initiatives, foster the sharing of knowledge and encourage collective action for the ocean. Research, preservation, innovation, knowledge-sharing, awareness-raising… every project can make a difference, at its own scale, in helping us better understand the ocean and better protect it.
